National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD) is April 16th!

Our advance directive workshop at the library has been canceled due to low registration. We're sorry to those who had planned to attend.

That said, the topic is too important to let slide — especially with National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD) coming up on April 16.

NHDD is an annual initiative to encourage everyone — regardless of age or health status — to document their healthcare wishes before a crisis makes that conversation harder. An advance directive lets you spell out the care you want (or don't want), and name someone to make decisions on your behalf if you can't.

If you don't have one, now is a good time to change that. You can download a free, state-specific advance directive packet at https://theconversationproject.org/nhdd/advance-care-planning/ — no cost, no account required.

If you're navigating end-of-life planning and don't know where to start, SCRIPTed – A Community Collaborative on Death & Dying connects people in our community with professionals in the end-of-life industry who can help.
